ZERO TOLERANCE TOWARDS RAGGING
As per UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009
What Constitutes Ragging?
Ragging includes any act — whether by words, conduct, or otherwise — that has the effect of teasing, treating or handling a student with rudeness; indulging in rowdy or undisciplined activities; or causing or likely to cause annoyance, hardship, psychological harm or fear in any student.
Our Commitment
- The college strictly prohibits ragging in all forms on its campus and premises.
- An Anti-Ragging Committee and Anti-Ragging Squad have been constituted as per UGC guidelines.
- All students and parents/guardians must submit an anti-ragging undertaking at the time of admission.
- CCTV surveillance is maintained in campus common areas.
Penalties
Any student found guilty of ragging may face one or more of the following penalties:
- Suspension from classes and academic privileges
- Withholding of results or scholarships
- Debarring from examinations
- Rustication or expulsion from the institution
- Filing of FIR with relevant police authorities
